Our U3A Nature group went on a rock pool search this afternoon at Kimmeridge Bay.

The previous visit was just to check whether it was safe enough for us 'oldies' to clamber about on the slippery rocks!.

The tide was low which gave us a chance for a look around.

The first thing you come across on the pebble beach are Ammonites everywhere in the rocks.

A lot of the rock is covered with coral like pink and white growths, as well as kelp and numerous seaweeds.

Beadlet Anemones closed up, looking like jellies.

Clingfish or Cornish Sucker with two amazing bright blue spots behind the eyes.

    Velvet Swimming Crab.

The Clingfish certainly camouflages well. :)
