em, you can plant it outside no problem, best to give it something to twine around and a warm sunny position. Against a fence would be OK I should think. Do you know if it is a male/female variety?

Does it have a label with a variety name on it?
If you google kiwi fruit or actinidia you'll get a bit more info.

    |Hi
hope you have plenty of space because it cangrow up to 30'.
You will need to have a male and a female plant and be prepared to hand pollinate,a bit like for melons.
They are reputed to take up to 7 years to come into reliable fruiting, but then you may expect to harvest about 20lb from the one plant.
There used to be a great plant in the grounds of York house in Twickenham.
    hope this is useful,
    Regards,
    sandedge
