I have taken up knitting again, but the yarns you can get these days are so much better. Here are a few items I have made:

Made with Noro Kurayon wool plus beads, buttons and contrasting yarn in the case of the scarf.

I really like the scarf Tiarella very nice. I used to knit a bit when I was a young lass, very long scarfs were my limit, I think they called them Dr Who scarfs. ;)

Why, Trux? Surely your real one would sound better! :D

Better to get LoL to paint you one!

I used to knit a lot, and still do a bit in the winter. Used to knit arans for a local wool shop in Liverpool when the tins were babies - kept me occupied when they were sleeping, and helped the cash flow a bit! Hated knitting with dark blue, though!

Like your style, Tiarella! Very ethnic!

Yes, I like it also, Tiarella. Dendro, do you think she'd like our new yarn?

Doubt it very much! I doubt if anyone would!

Have the rest of you seen this stuff - it's like a long fringe? Mine's a blue silky one, and LoL has multi-coloured, I think?

    I love the scarf Tiarella.

Miraflores, the "top" looks like a bag to me. Which is it Tiarella.

What new yarn are you two talking about LofL and Dendy? Is it the long-haired yarn in Tiarella's scarf? If yes, it is very popular over here and they were offering it everywhere in Turkey when we were there last. I thought then that it is a pity that I don't knit any more. My granddaughter knitted me a scarf with such in a beautiful green and her Mom one in royal blue, lovely both of them. I wear mine a lot.

T'other half has just suggested I photograph mine, which I'll do tomorrow because I honestly don't think I can work with this stuff!

It is beautiful though or I would not have bought it obviously! [IMG]

    Here's a pic, K-G

You can see the fringe in the bit of yarn at the bottom, and aboveis how it looks when knitted, simple garter stitch.

Kedi-Gato: I can tell you what I like about Tiarella's top.
The colours and applications, the rounded edge, the soft "halterneck" string which also suggests that the top will stay up very well and not come down the shoulders, plus looks fashionable
Of course the silhouette of the person who will wear the top is half of the work on the final effect...
The only "doubt" which crosses my mind would be: is the wool gonna be too warm for this "summerish" shape garment?
I wait anxiously for more comments, and maybe the interpretation of the artist...

Must admit, I thought it was a bag too, Tiarella, K-G and MF! Think we need to label or title pour pics, folks, even if they seem blindingly obvious to us! :D :D
