We have a new Prunus Accolade its about 6ft high, but only has leaves on the ends of the branches. Is this normal and will we get them all over eventually? Hope so as it looks so sparse and not the spectacular speciman we had hoped for.

I can't see why this should happen - and I'm sure it's not normal. I haven't any experience of this particular cherry, but cherries generally don't do that if they're healthy

Judging by the google photos, it's not normal....

    Particularly this pic....

Hopefully somebody else will have direct experience of the tree, and can help you.

In my experience some Cherry Trees suffer a little transplant shock and grow a little sparse the first few years (not all, but some do). I say give it a little time.
