    Evening all.

I wonder if anyone is in the know about this situation.

After a few years of paying for my land by informal agreement (I'm buying it off my dad), I've now paid up the agreed sum. All that remains now is the legal change of ownership.

Does anyone have any advice on the cheapest way to do this?

I figured seeing as I've bought the place of my dad, there's no need to do all manner of searches and thorough checking, as all that was done when he bought it and my dad wont have told me any fibs about what I was buying, so we just want the land registry to record me as the owner instead of him.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the cheapest way to go about this?

I haven't got a clue Clueless. But is it worth contacting Citizens Advice to see if they can come up with any ideas. :)

Thanks all. Land registry website looks like a promising solution.

Just go along to Land Registry with your father and proof of identity and title documents and you can transfer title fairly simply :)
