Any one one here have one?, Im tradeing in my Navara early next year and looking at a replacement truck. I dont particularly want another pick up again.

Basicly anyone had any problems with the above vehicle, its the newest one with the 2.7 derv engine. Ill be getting the comercial spec ie no rear seats but otherwise the same as the regular discovery.

If you got anyone local that sells Land Rover spares drop in and ask what problems they are sorting out for their customers.

I have a brother in the trade and asked him when I was about ot buy one, a few years back.

I bought a 200 series as for the 300 series he was selling cylinder heads at the rate of 1 a month.

    Thanks Bluedun, will do!

What I dont want is to end up buying a mistake like my current Navara. The pistons are prone to go at 70k and bust the engine block and nissan do not honour waranty. ( discoverd this after buying (didnt research enough!))

Also its falling apart already (4 years old) and with a turning circle reminiscent of a cruise liner not to mention a rear end that kicks out like a kangaroo at every opurtunity or corner, oh yes the sidewindows dont demist either!.

The only positive think i can say about the navara is the aircon works better than my transit and it has the power to tow my 2.5 ton trailer.

If merc did a G wagon van without the rear seats like the comercial disco then Id be prepared even to import one but sadly not. Standard defenders lack the comfort for me and i like a top speed over 80mph.
