Been constructing a very large planter for a tree :), it's going on the front garden (well driveway) as there is no where to plant anything as the previous owners paved the lot!

Anyway, finished it today, just have to decide on a tree now....hmmmm....

Nice job, Bilbo  Loving the lizards!
I can imagine a eucalyptus in there.

Were you thinking evergreen or deciduous? Productive, or ornamental (or statement!)?

Thanks @"M" my thoughts :ideaIPB: at the moment are something that looks good but is also good for wildlife, so perhaps an ornamental hawthorn or rowan etc :)

It's quite an exposed area to winter wind so not wanting to risk an evergreen as it may get toppled in a few years when its bigger.....not much chance yet as the planter's huge an will weigh a ton when full :snork:

          Nice one Bilob

A Bonsai would be good :) You could do quite a big one to match the scale of the planter.
