Funny old season so far, some things are really early like my tomatoes in flower yet I've still got last years winter veg hanging around. And I haven't any space to plant my onions, it's the latest I've ever been in getting them planted out. Well I just had to clear all the old stuff out, so bye bye to the last of the spring greens, parsnips, kale and carrots:

I've put some sand in the bucket and hopefully they will last a few more weeks. The spring greens and kale I've composted as it was starting to run to seed.

I feel your pain John! I had to clear out the last of the veg to make space for this years stuff. I'm just waiting (and waiting...) for the onions from autumn to bulk up so I can clear those too.

Still got loads of Parsnips left ... I expect they will be like wood now. And half a dozen leeks that I really ought to freeze. I might be able to eek out the PSB a bit longer, and we have a forest of Swiss Chard in the greenhouse.

But we are in the lean months, for sure.

Likewise, going to pick off the kale buds tomorow & then take the plants out, they've been there for 2 years now & are just swamping the onion beds.

Have some half cocked plan to boil em all up for stock veg, but will have to see how the day goes tomorow:DOH:
