    Hi All
I have some Dwarf French Beans seeds germinating in a seed tray and room in the greenhouse for them, as it is so late in the year would I be best to plant them in the greenhouse or in a sheltered spot in the garden.

The same goes for late Lettuce seeds (not sown yet) free from my Kitchen Garden mag.

I am in East Sussex and hoping for no frost for a long while yet.

    Thanks

    Dave

Worth a try as I am fed up with stringy runner beans and cut them all down early

I would put them in the greenhouse - or some-and-some if you have enough plants.

Its not just the frost issue, the increasingly cooler nights will slow them down outside.

I don't know about late lettuce but I would have said you're waaaay too late for planting French beans, under glass or not.

It's not just temperature but length of daylight that's important for making things grow. And the evenings are already beginning to close in.

Still, if you've started the process, it's worth a shot in your greenhouse.
