I was tidying up the flower beds the other day and noticed several small seedlings of Cerinthe and Cosmos. I hadn't planted any Cerinthe this year so any self seeding was from last year, Cosmos could be this year. Anyway, will these seedlings survive over winter where they are? Or should I pot them up and bring them inside?

No idea about the Cosmos, but the Cerinthe seedlings here survive. Even better is the fact that the autumn germinating plants are far superior to the spring germinators.

No idea really. It's just an observation based on experience. Spring flowering plants are less straggly and the colour is far better.
