Will get some pics up later but I noticed today that the paulownia trunks I stacked after semi copicing early in the year have thrown up new branches :sunny::D how much stored energy does that take to throw out branches from a severed trunk with no roots, water, soil etc ! Mental :D

I know of a balsam poplar in my area that was up rooted by the wind three years ago, the first summer it turned into almost a forest on its own, second it flowered well but not much growth.

I think now some of the old branches are actually rooting, so god knows what it will do next year:D

The stored energy in stems of some plants is amazing.

I think willow is another good one.
