I heard the latest craze among some school children is
to hold their breath until they faint!
I didn't think it was possible because surely after a while
you can't help but gasp for breath:eek:

Whatever next? I cannot ever remember doing anything that
stupid when I was at school can you?

Kids did it when I was at school! They would hold their breath for as long as possible then and wrap their arms across the ribs ,squeeze....and down they went:rolleyes:
It was a way of bunking lessons in the sick bay...I didn't try it because my Mum was on duty there most of the time:)

Well I did it too, and used grass with seeds on to make my tongue bleed, used mascara and a compass to create a "tattoo"!!

Explains a lot really now I think about it.

No different to "choke" holds that you're taught at judo. Yeah, you pass out but you wake up. If you don't, you've got nothing to worry about again:D

One of the kids in my year at secondry cut off the tip of his finger with a wood chisel doing the thing were you stab a knife down between each finger in rotation as quick as poss.

Also have fond memorys of primary school were myself, my brother and several freinds whipped a very unnplesant individual with ivy fronds, they cracked in the air like whips and he was coverd head to toe with bruises for a week!

Hmm! Where I lived, as a kid, the "Underground" ran "Overground". We used to play "chicken" by seeing how close we could get to the front of the train when it went passed. Dread to think what it did to the train-drivers nerves:D Sorry imp. We all survived and now I'm just an old gxt who enjoys gardening.:)

When i was at day release college (which i hated) someone gave me a ciggarette which i smoked quickly inhaling on every breath. Then i took a deep breath and held it until i felt ill all so i could go home . Stupid thing to do looking back but that was nothing compared to the drugs and stabbings of today , glad to say i gave up smoking years ago
