I have a problem with my hedging common laurel. The leaves appear to be being eaten or something?

Any ideas please what could be causing this?

    Hello Jazzy

I'm by no means an expert but adult Vine weevils do damage like this - and they do like a bit of Laurel. Unsure whether they'd be active at this time of year though

If they are there you'll find them after dark with a torch and you can squish 'em.

As BM says if it isn't very bad & is random munching don't worry too much as Laurels are as tough as old boots... Although I would try & check to see if you have vine weevils or cut worms, just in case, as really you don't want either of them if you can help it..
