Laurel leaves

    One of my clients has asked if I cna lay laurel leaves instead of bark in his garden.

    Can anyone tell me where I could sourse these wholesale?

    Scotkat, I`ve never heard of that, but there is probably someone out there.:D

    David neither had I and as much as I like to see a laurel hedge or shrub dont think would liek to see it to supress weeds.

    I have to say, this is a particularly daft idea. Not least of all theyd blow away!!!!

    There are a few problems with usuing laurel leaves apart from them blowing away. They turn brown and brittle which is unsightly and they are highly flammable. They do not cause too much of a problem when they drop and lay under the bush but in an open garden they would look awful and would be much more prone to catching alight. The leaves also contain a toxic oil so possibly won't do the plants much good if put down in bulk.

    I don't think you will be able to buy them anywhere.
