Lavatera annual seeds

    just picked 000s of seeds off my annual lavatera. Presumably i treat them the same as seeds from the packet ie spring planting ? Any tricks ? Thanks for your help.

    ps my hollyhocks and foxgloves already growing from this years seeds

    Yep, make sure they are dried out properly, pack them in paper bags or envelopes, in a tin or tupperware, with one of those wee sachets of dry stuff (someone help me out here) you get when you buy electrical stuff. Write on the outside what's inside.. and when to sow them, in the back of the fridge til spring.

    Store all your seed like this!

    My annual lavateras self seeded last year. I managed to weed out most of them this spring (there's a weed that looks quite similar in baby stage) :o but some survived. Just for interest, why not sowing some seeds now?

    Aye, definately give it a go you might get some early flowers..... and I sowed some direct in late June this year.. they're are just at their best now... a lovely splash of late colour.
