Lavendar question

    I think I have some lavendar in a pre planted planter that I bought. Does lavendar look like rosemary but its a more cool paler green, a bit alpiney coloured.

    Yes and it will also be small at the moment. The leaves are quite elongated, pointed and a lavender blue/green colour. It also, well, smells of lavender! Very distinctive smell.

    yes, it will have an almost velvety leaf with many to each stem and as Aaron said an unmistakable smell. The leaves are softter to touch than Rosemarys.
    If in doubt perhaps post a piccy! if you want to make a nice hedge then it makes a good bedfellow with Rosemary.
