So I've planted up some Lavender (Hidcote) in a pot , the pot is 14 inches wide and I've used Peat free compost , My question is how often should I water it ? , And are there any tricks to keep it in good order ?

    Thank you , Ian

It depends on the original plant size. If it fits into 14 inch pot with less than 2-3 inches around its base to the edge of the pot, I would mix John Innes 2 half and half with multi purpose compost and maybe added grit or pearlite to help keep drainage good.

Watering-in might be more often in the first 3-4 weeks, which depends on the temperature and available rain. If no rain right now, then water every 3-4 days. Increase if it's warmer, decrease if there has been rain.

      Hi

how large are the plants as if me I would one or maximum 3

I would use a John innes no 3 and mix in some general purpose compost so it’s less claggy when wet
