Lavender parasite

Hi

I have seen the typical foam parasite in my lavender today. Any recommendations on how to get rid of it please? In the past I tried with dishwasher diluted in water but it harmed the lavender as well

 

Do you mean cuckoo spit? If yes, I don’t think it harms the plants at all. There’s lots of it in my garden. It’s produced by froghoppers - all part of a healthy garden biodiversity.

If it isn’t harmful I am happy to leave it but k thought it sucks the sap

 

You can wipe it off, there is a small green insect inside, but I've never found them to be a real problem as @pitter-patter says.

 

I leave them be.
They hop off within a day or two and leave no damage that I've ever found

 

Agree - they seem harmless to the Lavender.
