image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Here are some pictures of my lawn.

It's just over 12 months old after getting it re-turfed.
I've had no treatments on this yet just regularly cut it about once every -0 days on the highest setting.

There are a few weeds starting to creep up. I have been careful and got this out including the root.

Do I need any treatments on my lawn?

The lawn normally has the sun on it during the afternoon then in the shade for late afternoon.

The lawn is also on a downward slope.

Here are a few pictures !!!

From your close-up pics it doesn't look like moss is a problem, but it could be when looked at from the 1st pic in your last post. As your garden is on a slope, waterlogging may not be the problem if there is somewhere for it to drain away to.

It may be the grass issues could be down to leather jackets (daddy long-legs larvae) or chafer grubs chomping at the roots (although the chafers are less active at this time of year) or an animal peeing in the same spots. Dogs', foxes', cats' or any urine will create yellow then brown spots. I noticed your fenses are quite low but may rule out dogs unless you have any.

I may be worthwhile spraying it with nematodes to killl off leather potential leather jackets and later on, putting down some feed and weed and may need scarifying as moss and weeds will turn black. It will also make your grasss grow like mad though after a week or two though. If there are any dead areas still, they will need patching up with seed.

Is this the right thing to add to the grass "Slug Nematodes"

Slugs can bury themselves under soil and they will eat ANYTHING - I've witnessed them feasting on dog and cat poo, rotting meat, even other dead slugs and at this time of year, will probably prefer fresh plant foliage rather than grass, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility they have destroyed grass roots during the leaner times (if they managed to bury under what looks like quite a thick lawn).

There are specific nematodes marketed for specific types of critters but I suspect a lot of it is to do with encouraging you to buy more products.

Nematodes are microscopic parasitical worms that enter the pores of soil-based pests and how specific they are at targeting slugs as well as leather jackets, I can't say for sure but have treated my lawn with Nemasys for leather jackets and the yellowing has ceased and I haven't seen a slug or snail in the garden for weeks, even after rain. It could be a coincidence but they are far more nocturnal than me and I'm definitely not a biologist to offer the precise types used in each product.

I would not say it was white it's more like when grass burns in the sun.

Little update - this time last week I added some feed and weed killer to the lawn.
Today I gave it a cut and here is the difference.

That, my friend, is indeed a rather healthy-looking lawn.

Feed and weed leaves black patches if moss or weeds are present but there doesn't appear to be any signs of this.... just a growth of strong grass, which should keep moss and weeds like dandelions, lesser trefoil, self heal etc at bay.

The grass will grow like crazy for another 6 weeks or more and will need mowing more regularly but this is a small price to pay for a healthy lawn.

      A job well done!
