Lawn Edging Scissors

Hello all

I am looking for some Heavy Duty, Very Sharp Scissors to use to Edge My Lawns.

My Back Lawn is surrounded by 22mm Indian Sandstone Paving on Three Sides and Indian Sandstone Setts on the Sides defining the Borders.

I have tried using a Half Moon Edger and also Edging Shears, however, because of the Thickness of the Paving neither work particularly well.

I have found that Scissors work Very Well, however, I am loathe to use the Kitchen Scissors for the Task for obvious reasons

Does anyone have any suggestions for Very Sharp Scissors that are Comfortable to use, Easy to Sharpen when required and most importantly, suitable for Edging the Lawns?

As kitchen scissors work well for you, maybe buy another pair just for garden use?

 

These may be worth considering. The blade can be rotated. I have other Wolf Garten tools, they are worth the premium price!

Yes, the Kitchen Scissors worked fine, except for One Painful Issue, the prolonged use rubbed the Skin off the Back of My Fingers.

Ooh, ouch! Maybe not such a good plan then!
For my lawn edging I use either one-handed shears or my Bosch Isio. The shears do a tidier job but sometimes give me blisters. I have wondered about "retiring" an old pair of dressmaking shears that have soft-grip handles to the garden. Maybe one day. I have hands much smaller than most garden tools are designed for, but strangely rarely a problem with kitchen and sewing scissors.

Ps; they usually get reduced in price regularly.

Pps; my brother uses poultry scissors!

 

I'd never have the patience to use scissors. Also, with about 200 feet of edging to do it would kill my back and knees.
