I have applied to much nitrogen to my lawn early summer and with the heavy rain cannot control - any ideas to combat this evergrowing situation

Hi Bill falconer and a warm welcome to GC from me, as this is the welcome section not everyone would know the answer to your question.
I would recomend you put it in the lawn section that way folks who know would answer your question sooner. good luck with your lawn.

Hi Bill welcome to G.C. I'm sure you will have a jolly old time here as it's full of nice friendly people like myself :D

Sorry but I'm pretty clueless regarding the lawn so Mef750's idea for the lawn section would indeed be a better place to ask for advice.

I wish you well with your lawn I'm sure someone will sort you out...oh dear that sounds like a threat not intended to be honest! [IMG] Helen.xxx.

    hi bill falconer

welcome to GC am i right in thinking that your lawn just keeps growing too quick ? or is it in poor condition ?

if its the first then theres no other thing to do than keep cutting i applied alot my self this yr and my lawn is growing faster now in sept than in june/july im cutting twice a week but then again im sooooooooooo sad and love cutting the lawn so it's not a problem for me.
