:(:(:(hello my name is darren. i laid a lawn last july and it looked wonderfull. prepared the ground properly etc and for a few weeks a fantastic lawn was established.
unfortunetly my dog started piddling around the boarder areas and so i flushed it out with water and laid some grass seed on these parts. the grass seed i used was completely different to the meadow grass i had laid and so it grew at a faster rate than the rest which did look unsightly because also it was a dfferent colour. the grass at the moment looks unbearable to look at so i am wondering if i can lay the rest of the same grass seed just to make it look respectable again. i have two attatchments for you to look at and all constructive critism will be honoured as i am not that green fingered helppppppppppppppp:(:(:(

Why not overseed the whole lawn with the new seed? It will all blend in over time

Newly seeded patches do look different the first year - sort of shiney - it looks more like normal grass thereafter.
