We have a new lawn laid and we have used good soil first and used good turf.
The problem is we live right next to a fair size hill and lots of water runs off it.

The turf is not doing good at all, its dying in places ?

    Anyone got any ideas?

Can you post a picture pls?

If you have water running off a hill my first thought would be to put a drain across the hill, at the back of your lawn, so that water running down the hill doesn't flood your garden. But a picture would help

Have you tried 'pinning' the turf down to encourage rooting?

I echo the thoughts of the poster above - sort out the drainage first. A simple mole drain or gravel trap with porous pipe will help with the drainage

    ade,

This winter has been the worst I can remember for being both cold and wet which wont have helped. If its a recently established lawn - it needs to get its roots down. I would wait until March and see what its like then.
