So where does everyone get their lawn seed from and how much is it? I'm looking for about 2kg of fine grass, no ryegrass, with good coverage...

Any decent garden centre should be able to supply fine grass seed, Loofah, and you need about one and a half ounces per square yard. Or basically, 1lb will do 10 square yards.

Loofah, if your only doing a reasonably small area, get it from Wilkos.

I have patches on my lawn from the dog.
Which seed should I use and when should I use it.

You say it`s because of the dog? Is it a bitch? because if it is, and she`s peeing on the lawn, then you are not going to cure the problem without stopping the dog from going on the lawn. [IMG]

Yes there is. Ed pees all over on my gravel. Doesn't stop the grass coming through rampantly. :D

Perhaps I could dig it out and sell it? [IMG]

The dog is a bitch and 13 years old so I have this problem every spring.
The grass is O.K in the summer when it's growing.
It's just after the winter to cover the patches to get it growing again.

I did no there is no 'special' grass seed that resists dog pee .
I just wondered if there was a quick growing seed I could use.
I normaly just get the loose stuff from Wilkos.
I rake the patches put the seed on and cover with soil .
    I'll just do that.
