lawn weed/lichen/moss/dunno

    Hi, take it easy with me (first post)
    I'm on a mission ti sort my lawns out. can anyone tell me what this is, it grows on my lawn and stops the grass coming through.

    It does indeed. It means that you soil is very poorly drained and probably in need of a good dose of fertiliser too.

    Thanks guy's,
    so now I know its liverwort, do I...
    buy some chips and put loads and loads of vinegar on them...then stand around the area and begin eating, and if some vinegar fall on to the liverwort will it kill it especially if I've washed my hands before hand with washing up liquid ?? I know its a bit cryptic but I believe your not allowed to endorse such a thing
