I'd agree with Penny, your lawn looks very good indeed.

I don't know of any way of getting rid of rye grass other than digging it out by hand. I've got rid of the broad leaved weeds from my lawn by this method because they're easy to spot but the thought of trying to hoik out all the rye grass by hand is a bit daunting!

Or you could just keep mowing it close. But I suspect you do that already?

I think I'm obsessed with mowing it! :hehe: Yes, I mow it on a regular. Only when I dont mow it for around a week the rye grass shows a lot. Its not a big problem, I was just wondering if there was a quick and easy fix to get rid of it.

Thanks guys and thanks for the compliments.

    Hi

Your lawn looks awesome! Was reading about this last night as have same problem, although my lawn is far from being anything like yours! From what i can gather, there is another species similar to rye grass and this product only works on rye grass so up to you if you want to give it a go.

Do you use a cylinder or rotary mower?

Hi Will, thanks, I will check out the link.

I use a rotary mower at the moment. Its a relatively cheap Bosch one, of course with a roller on the back, but its nothing special or expensive.

I am thinking about getting a cylinder mower, but to be honest, I'm pretty clueless when it comes to mowers. I will have to do some research on them but they look quite pricey for a good one?

i bought a second hand petrol cylinder mower off ebay, relatively easy to use although i think it needs a sharpen as it chews grass a bit
