    Hi all

I am currently a student at Loughborough University in my final year of industrial design and technology. As part of the course we have to investigate and redesign a product.

I have chossen to look into the lawnmower specifically aimed towards an ageing population but am interested in any keen gardeners thoughts and feedback to do with grass cutting as aprt of my research.

How do you prefer to cut your lawn...?

    What mower do you use....?

What do you do with the grass cuttings (compost, bin, etc)?

How and where do you store your mower.....?

How often do you cut your lawn....?

Any thing that fustrates you about current lawnmowers/anything you would change...?

Look forward to hearing any feedback or insights you have on the issue.

    will be greatly appreciated.

How do you prefer to cut your lawn.. Use a ridding mower, and a push mower and a weed wacker.
What mower do you use...Big ridding one, with a bagger (just got one new-forgot name now, its yellow) I have a thred about it here if interested in looking it up.
What do you do with the grass cuttings (compost, bin, etc)? Leave them lay. But will bag all the leaves for compost.
How and where do you store your mower...In a big shed .
How often do you cut your lawn...Every 6wks, until snow.
Any thing that fustrates you about current lawnmowers/anything you would change.. Nothing yet, too new..

How do you prefer to cut your lawn...? Petrol Rotary

What mower do you use....? Hayter Harrier

What do you do with the grass cuttings (compost, bin, etc)? Compost

How and where do you store your mower.....? Shed

How often do you cut your lawn....? 2 - 3 weeks in summer

Any thing that fustrates you about current lawnmowers/anything you would change...? It is very heavy, so a lighter one would be better for lifting it up/down garden steps. But it also needs to be heavy enough to leave nice rolled stripes.
