I had a day out with the family yesterday and surprise ,surprise the weather remained dry. :)

I thought you might like to take a look at our annual Laxey Fair that has a Victorian and mining theme.

The local school children are mostly dressed up in character and are led down to the garden where the fair is held.

Bear with me as there will be more than one posting of pictures.

On the left, the Lieutenant Governor of Mann, David Wood and the Speaker of the House of Keys, Steve Rodan. I was cheeky and asked for a picture! :heehee:

Thanks Lolimac and Ziggy. The engine was built in Poole in Dorset according to it's 'plate'. :)

            Really, thats a suprise.

I built one once, well nearly, had the boiler, superheater, gears, chasis & pump uptogether, when we left school, we didn't have access to lathes & stuff anymore. My mate took the project on & I never saw it again. He won't even reply to me on Facebook. Well he wouldn't, as it would be worth thousands finished off.
