HI there, we took over a new allotment last year, I have just dug out a "compost" heap that was left. It was a large pile of well rotted crumbly dark "composty" type material:old:.
So I am told, it was a leaf pile with other stuff such as house veg' and general garden clipping etc:thmb:.

As it is well rotted "composty" stuff, what is the best thing to do with it:cnfs:, is it suitable to put it in a large green house "planting box" to grow tomatoes in, will it be ok for general compost for plant posts etc.

    Look forward to your replies.

    Hi Moon,

You lucky so and so you! Well composted leaf mould is golddust our ways. I don`t know if you can use it neat to grow tomatoes in-not well up on food growing yet, but you could certainly mix it in.
