    Hi

I am just wondering if the same applies to houseplants as does garden plants in that with a garden shrub such as camellia if you pinch out the new growth it will put growth on lower down the stems.

I have a think a potted bay plant which has suffered from my neglectful lack of watering at times :( and has lots of wood with no leaves lower down the stems.

Is it worth pinching out the new growth as it is still a relatively healthy plant?

    Thanks.
