Is this plant tender ? Could I grow it in a cold and exposed garden ?

    Hi Ming

If you do a search on lemon verbena you'll find a lot of information has already been posted.

Basically, the plant does not usually survive the winter even down here in the South East. But it is very easy to overwinter - you just need to keep the frost off it. A shed or unheated greenhouse would probably do.

Maybe one of our Scottish gardeners can tell you how it fares during the summer months in cool exposed conditions. I should have thought it would be reasonably OK. Alice???

I grow it in a pot on the patio, where it's scent can be fully appreciated. Then over winter in the same pot in the shed.
