how many times do you see a gardening product in one shop go to another town/city and find it a lot cheaper this is what happened to me today i saw a plant for 17.99 [IMG] then saw the same plant for 7.99 :D and it was bigger than the one at 17.99 so i think we should use this site to help each other to see if we our paying too much in our own area and would it be worth shopping that extra few miles sometimes. the tree was a flamingo tree in wilkinsons in bury and it was ten pound cheaper
than 2 mile down the road  so if you know of a gardening product that you think is cheap then let us know

Hi Ste not a bad idea I always try to keep you guys and girls on here updated when and where I see a good gardening sale or offer.

That tree in question I got one a few months back looked around the garden centres for a few weeks and was amazed I was able to pick one up from a normally expensive g.c.who was doing a 25% sale.

I got mine for 7.25 and it's a great size and of course the best one I have seen since looking for one!

Wilko's have some great bargains, but they don't seem to understand that plants do a lot better if you water them
If you can catch a plant before they've killed it though, they do very well.

Daisybelle, my thoughts too. The times we go into Wilkos and admire their skills in producing dried flowers and plants from living ones. They must dispose of double what they sell. I thought B&Q were bad enough but Wilkos must be the worst. As a grower it sickens me to see this kind of maltreatment when a lot of hard work has gone in to their production, I know the grower has been paid and probably doesn't know/care what happens to them afterwards but it doesn't justify their neglect.
