I planted a few Optima lettuce seeds the other day, in a 12-cell tray just to get them started until I can prepare the deep growbags, and I have left it in the greenhouse. However, I believe that lettuce isn't enamoured by too much warmth, so would I be better popping the tray outside?

Temps in the greenhouse are up to 25ยบ during the day

Once they have germinated FC you could put them outside ,then just bring them in on a night....worth protecting them though from slugs and birds:blue thumb:

Thanks loli :) Hopefully I'll be able to sow the next batch direct into the deep bags, but I wanted to get some going as I am fed up paying supermarkets for lettuce :blue thumb:

I've raised a few Iceberg and Little Gem in the greenhouse, most are now outside, either in the ground or in unused hamster cages awaiting planting out! :)
