Will Provado vine weevil killer also kill nematodes?

The dreaded vine weevils attacked my containers this year. I was desperate to get rid of them and grabbed the only available product I found in local Wilko's. Provado vine weevil killer worked like a treat, it also kept the greenfly damage to minimum as an added bonus. I feel like a murderer though. [IMG]

I'm now planning to use nematodes on my edible plants as a precaution. Is it waste of time to use it also on the flower containers which had a dose of the Provado poison in May? Will the compost ever "recover" so that I can spread it in places where I may later grow something edible?

...and has anyone found a good nematode product which doesn't cost half my salary? Most of my garden is in large containers so a small pack is not going to go very long way.

A big thank you for any help and suggestions [IMG]

    Nematodes, presumably to kill slugs/snails?
It sounds a good idea, but is expensive.

As to whether the provado still remains in the compost is anybodies guess?
Most modern insecticides break down fairly fast.

Personally I use the "green" slug pellets.
