Yesterday Willa had a light bulb moment. She ate one of those low energy, curly shaped light bulbs. I heard her crunching something in my sewing room and dashed in to see what she doing and she had already eaten all the glass part. Well, off to the vet's we went. After x-rays under sedation, a call to the poison centre (phosphorus) and a few hours of observation she is now home with some meds and instructions. She is on a chicken and rice diet for a couple of days and I have to watch what she passes for a while. I have no idea where she got the bulb from but it has to be the most worrying and expensive bulb to have entered my house.
Willa may be dog shaped but she is certainly more like a toddler in character and seems to get into all kinds of mischief. Thankfully, not all of it is as worrying as today's. :)

    Willa.

She is much better now. Thank you for asking @Lolimac :)
I have been up and down at night with her for two nights now checking.... err... what passes :eeew: and after some initial pain she seems to have settled down and is her normal, happy self again. :doggieshmooze:

I always wonder what makes a dog even consider eating something like that - its not as though its going to taste nice?

Smudge is so fussy he will turn his nose up at a crisp if its the wrong flavour.

Not, dare I say, the 'brightest' thing to eat. Or possibly it was!
I would be distraught if Blackpuss was eating glass
I often find her chewing something, and have no idea what it was. Possibly a nice juicy spider! Go get em puss :hapfeet:
Glad your lil doggy is doing ok @Lea :)
