Light Classical, The Typewriter - nicely done!

    Some of the older members on here will remember this piece - The Typewriter. It was written by Leroy Anderson in 1950 and became very popular.

    This performance adds some humour to it.

    Leroy was famous for quite a lot of light classical pieces and this one, Blue Tango, was the first instrumental million seller for which he got a 'Gold Record' in 1951. Back in the dark ages they used to play this tune in cinemas during the interval :)

      The Typewriter is excellent!!! of course I don't remember it, but somebody told me about it!!!!! :snork:

              Thanks for the memory Shiney. :) Although I wasn't even a 'twinkle' in 1950 I can remember hearing this often on the radio as a youngster.
