Lilac

Does anyone have a lilac tree that they could take a sapling from or me I am desperate to find one but am finding them a little pricey or could anyone reccomend a good website.

 

I meant to say a root cutting PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEE is there anyone who can help on this one

 

I don't have any cuttings this year, but after a quick google I think it's one I'll try next year.

Do you mean a rooted cutting or a bit of root to try to propagate from?

I do have a purple one that’s about 3-4 foot tall growing in a large pot, it was in the wrong place in the garden so got dug up 2 years ago, but I've nowhere to put it now. You could have that if you're ever near Barnsley? Or my girlfriend and I take frequent trips to North Wales to see friends (I don't know where abouts in Wales you are?).

If you are just after roots, I could probably pull up a few from the one in the pot and send them to you - I don’t know if this will work though?

I have a lilac in the garden that I have been cutting back all year as it got to big for the spot it was in ,I could try and take a cutting with a bit of root for you I dont want anything for it just pm your address etc and I will post it to you good luck Colin
