lilly & orchid from the root

    hi every body
    i have a fat lilly and a fat orchid root single strand they are about 1 cm thick can i plant thease and would they grow?

    Need a bit more info really orchid man, like what kind of orchid and lilly.

    its a one of those whtte orchids that are in the super makets http://www.atpm.com/10.08/readers/images/petty-orchid.jpg
    and the liliy is i dont have a picture but it has yellow small flowers and they are very close together there are about 10 to 15 flowers and they are close together

    your orchid looks like a phalaenopsis. As far as I know, it won't grow from a root particularly the greyish aerial roots.
    Again with lilies they can be propagated from scales or offsets but not the roots themselves.

    Sounds as if you need to join an orchid club! [​IMG]

    1more thing can i cross bread vanilla with any other orchid?

    I'm afraid my expertise doesn't extend beyond trying keep my orchids alive and flowering!

    Orchid man, I think you'll have difficulty doing that unless you've got a laboratory.
    The majority of orchids are very difficult from seed and not really a viable proposition for the ordinary gardener.

    I don't think you can! The majority of seeds are so small you can't see them. As Pete said, not a thing for ordinary gardeners.

    hi dudes i have resentley bought 10 gram of GA3 acid and 30gram of cocentrated kelp for my plants how often should i use it

    no its not on the bottle its only the ammount of consentration to use there is no how often.
