Oh, that's lovely, Rosietu. [IMG] It looks like some I have got which don't flower until late July/August , which have a lovely smell. Do you know what yours are called? I thought mine were Stargazer, but I'm told that one isn't perfumed. [Also yours look semi- double.]
I thought lily beetles hadn't got round here yet; I importd mine inadvertently from Shropshire with my Auntys' lilies when she died. I never saw one in Cambs., didn't know what they were! I'm now getting used to chewed leaves.

Gorgeous! I don't profess to be into flowers as such, but might have to find some room for one of those. I understand Lilies are poisonous to cats, would this apply to those in the garden or just cut flowers in the house? Don't want any harm to come to the best mousers this side of the Tamar

It's the pollen that's harmful. You can get varieties which don't produce pollen, I think Michaelmasdaisy has some. I have 2 cats who fortunately don't go near. I've had lilies and cats for many years, and taken a chance...

I don't normally go for garden ornaments, but I wouldn't mind him in my garden!
