    Hi Folk

Just need some advice pleas, pardon a beginner.

I use this product to feed my lawn
    http://www.crowders.co.uk/buy/plant-and-garden-care/lawn-care/miracle-gro-lawn-food-1kg

You mix this with water - High Nitro Fert, once a month jobbie.. 36-6-6

I think I on occasions make mistakes, such as feeding my lawn with this directly after mowing it, or is this OK?

Also my luck, just mowed and applied and its started raining ! does it mean my efforts have gone to waste and need to reapply during dry weather so the grass blades get time to soak in the goodness?

Not many instructions so would love to make the best use of the product

    Thanks

It usually rains after I've done some gardening too. Its brilliant isn't it:)

All the rain is going to do is wash the feed down into the rooting zone where it needs to be, and keep the freshly cut grass hydrated while it's wounds heal.

Nitrogen is taken up by the roots, so rain will be fine (provided it isn't so heavy that it washes the nitrogen into next door's garden!)

I don't think it will matter than you feed directly after mowing, although it probably helps to let the grass recover a day or two after mowing. However, when you apply selective weed killer then it is important to wait three days after mowing before application, and a further 3 days before cutting again (and waiting longer would be better still, but your grass will be head-high if you wait too long, of course :) )
