I recently bought a ready mixed spray containing fatty acids and sulphur. It was one of those pest and desease sprays combined and supposed to be enviromentally friendly.

Now I get a lot of leaf spot during the winter on my succulent plants growing outside, and remember reading somewhere how blackspot on roses had become worse since the clean air act, and the sulphur levels in the atmosphere had fallen.
So what I would like is a spray containing just sulphur in liquid form, without the fatty acids.

    Has anyone any ideas.

The only one I know Pete is where I get mine. But it isn't cheap from Australia. I have a mate who brings it over for me. He's rich and lives half the time here and half the time in Australia.

I've none at the moment but if you want some I will give a shout when he next brings some. Could be several months though.

Oh, thats good, so the stuff does exist.
Surely there must be a supplier in the UK though, if not I might give them a try, dread to think what the postage would be though.

It certainly works for roses, the trick is to spray regularly in the same way as with any fungacide.

If you store the sprayer with part used solution in then give it a thorough shake before next use as the sulphur settles out.

One question Pro, how fine is the sulphur.
One site suggested mixing flowers of sulphur with water and a drop of washing up liquid.

Result, one badly clogged sprayer.

Its like talc sprays out fine and doesnt block, I just use a normal cooper pegler 5 sprayer with a yellow fan nozzle.

Obviously half fill your sprayerwith water then add the suphur dust to a jug and mix to a paste adding water untill all liquid. pour into the sprayer and top up with water and shake.

Turned up today, so may give it a go at the weekend, if the weathers OK.
