Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone grows or has grown lithops? Had a packet of seeds given me and I put them in a couple of small pots and a few have sprouted, I've read the biggest reason you lose them is due to over watering other than that I can't find much info in how to care for the tiny plants.

I've not grown any for years from seed but they are slow, but then they are slow in everything they do.
As long as the compost is very sandy you should be ok, but do stop watering in september and keep them cool until next spring, that is spring next year.
If they even get remotely damp in winter you are likely to lose them.

Maybe best to shade from intense sunlight, through glass, for the first year.

      Growth will not be rapid.

Thanks @ricky101 I'll go through your post and see what I can find.

Yes I've read you can be talking 2 or 3 years before you can even start to think about repotting. Looks like you had a great collection @pete some lovely photos on the post of @ricky101 .
        Thanks for the help:blue thumb:
