I will be sowing some ............now pick whichever name you are familiar with , as this beauty has several names...
    Lophospermum Erubescens ( Lofos )
    or
    Maurandia Erubescens
    or
    Creeping Gloxinia

I bought a packet of seeds on Ebay , but I do not have any cultural instructions for the best germination temperature and the approx germination time. Believe me I have looked everywhere on the internet
Does anyoner have any info on this plant ? :what:

I've grown it in the past, but a long time ago.

I seem to remember the seed being small and I think I surface sowed in a propagator at probably about 25C.
Its very slow to start and takes a while before it begins to get really moving, so the seed will be a while before you can prick it out and move it into individual pots.

Grown Maurandia barclayana a few times, both the blue and the white. Indeed this one self seeds in the paths and up to this spring has survived, as seed, some pretty cold winters. I have no heated propagator any more so the seeds would have been surface sown under grit in April and left in the greenhouse.

Thanks for the advice Pete , Palustris
I have taken the pragmatic approach and surface sow half in the prop , and the other half surface sown again but I'll leave to germinate at a cool room temperature , and sit back and wait.
