I bought an Amarylis bulb back in October, not that i am complaining but its "still" in full leaf, which have grown to a pritty impressive foot and a half! :) My other two have unfortunatly shurnk and died (which is a whole other issue that in not sure about) but this one is still soldiering on. Again, im not complaining but is this normal?

    Thanks

    Tom

They can be grown as evergreen if the conditions are right.

They just dry them off to make them easier to market, plus the flower looks more impressive coming up before the leaves.

Thanks, i am quite keen on the appearence of it in flower and leaf so will try to keep this going.
Will this affect the flowers performance in any way?
