Lonicera cut back

    I cut my Honeysuckel back really hard last autumn it looked quiet healthy this year but did not produce many flowers,should I leave it this year and not cut it back.

    Yes Arty, it failed to flower because you cut it hard back. Leave it be and it should flower next year. As you`ve given it a good chop, you should get away with just some gentle tidying up in future years.:gnthb:

    Hi Arty, Lonicera only needs to be pruned to keep it to the size and shape you want. If you cut it back because it was outgrowing its space then just leave it for this year and just cut off any straggly bits which are untidy or getting in the way. I'm sure your flowers will be back next year.
