Lucky you:) He'll keep the slugs and bugs at bay for you. Between me and the neighbour, we were lucky enough to have our own hedgehog patrol for a few years, but nobody has seen Steven for a while now, so he might have moved on or died.

    He's great Robert!

Can he get in and out ok from your sack? I was wondering with all the soil over his skin if he can breathe ok or get to water if he needs it. Just a thought :)

Why not name him after the type of spud you are growing? :D

    "Vivaldi" the frog... uuumm
I think he must have jumped into the sack from a low wall I have running beside it. He must have been on a hunt from the the pond.
I picked him out and as soon as he saw the pond just a few feet away he did a triple somesault with twist direct into pond to join his mates.

    Morning Kathy.
Yes we have a small pond. Its been here for several years on account of we used to suffer badly with flood water after heavy rain, so a the pond acts as a reservior for the excess.
We have had frogs for longer then I can remember and lately we have the excitement of an almost albino that joined us about three years ago.
There are other posts on the forum covering that subject.
You are perfectly correct about being the best pest control.
There was not a sign of any pests in our little garden last year. Not even a nibble at the lettuce!
I did find three pots that managed to pick up the vine weevil but at this time there is no sign on the larvae in the veg plot..
