I have never seen one before
    I believe it's a Jay.
Poor thing sitting on the fence in pouring rain.

He/she is lovely, Lyn, but I ask the same question as The Nut .... are the feet on backwards or just sitting a little sideways?

Wonderful photo ..... wish I could do the same.

Great shot Lyn, :thumb: and yes, it is a jay.

We have quite a few of them around here but it is very difficult to get a good shot of one as they take off at the slightest movement

    :D:D:D

    I never noticed the feet.
I think it might have been sitting forward and turned to have a look around.
    It was very frightened.
    Heres another photo of it.

    Thank you.
I try to keep my camera handy.
I missed a sparrow hawk and was really miffed so I try to be ready.
    It's just luck.
    This was early this morning.
I always seem to see the birds early on a sunday morning.
Probably because it's quiet and everyone's in bed but me. :)

That's great! I'd love to have a jay visit the garden - you are lucky! :)

The video works perfectly, Lyn, he really must feel safe and at home in your garden. I just love the second shot, so clear. Beautiful birds even if they are bullies.
