I happened to look out of the kitchen window this morning as i was making my breakfast to see this little beauty sitting on the fence this morning.I grabbed my camera and took some piccy's but this was the best one as it wasn't quiet light enough for a decent shot.I even rushed upstairs and dragged Mr Kandy out of bed so he could see this male Sparrowhawk..:D

I was going to put it in the Whats Buzzing or Flying thread but couldn't find the latest thread...

It looks a real beauty, Kandy. I bet Mr Kandy was really pleased to be dragged out of bed to look at it!! It's great to see a bird of prey looking so at home.

Thanks for the piccy Kandy. I've seen the Sparrowhawks engaged in their business in the garden but never sitting perched like that. I'm sure Mr Kandy was thrilled to see it and really appreciates you thinking about him like that :D

Thanks for your kind words everyone :)

Mr Kandy saw one a couple of years ago when it sat up on our garage roof but didn't have time to do anything about it as he had just pulled up on the drive in our car.I came back two minutes later so he enjoyed telling me all about it :D

I just hope that if it does come back it doesn't start picking off the garden birds now we have a nice selection visiting :P
