Does anyone else really miss their gardens?
I do and seem to have no energy for much else either, I can't wait for things to get back to normal (get christmas over with bar humbug!!) and to be able to resume growing, tending and generally messing about outdoors.

I hate being stuck indoors, okay I know the weather hasn't been too bad but there is not much apart from tidy that I can do out there.

    Sorry for the moan [IMG]

Yep stingo, the winter always drags on.

    Never could stand it.
I think if I lived on the other side of the world I might even LIKE Christmas.
    But not here. [IMG]

I was up in the mountains today, sunny but very breezy and very green after the rains ... didn't see another car for about an hour ... exquisite!

I saw an ostrich but it was in the trees and not good to photograph ... may go back before the new year and try to get pics ... it is in a biological reserve.

I'm not on the other side of the world, pete, only a couple of hours away! [IMG]

I realise not everyone has a heated g/house but I still manage to keep the gardening going yesterday I planted seeds and amarylis bulbs repotted acouple of brugs, usually need to warm the compost in the spare microwave, considering using the spare bedroom as another growing area allready have a propagator in there.Caj consider getting one of those astronomy programs like "Starry night pro" you can see everything in real time on your computer on those cloudy nights.

Well after a rotten couple of months for me no matter what the weather's like I keep going out in the garden.

I'm still finding a couple of hardy weeds to up root and then of course there's the neighbour's cat that likes to leave me little poo presents!

I actually decided enough is enough and have sown some veg seed in my unheated greenhouse today. They`ve got two chances, but I am confident. [IMG] [IMG]

I'm going to get out there tomorrow to check things out, last time I looked in my unheated greenhouse my lillies in pots were still flowering!! admittedly I did plant them late.

I have about 8 successful sweet peas that I started from seed a couple of months ago and something I need to pot on (can't remember the name of it at the moment!)

You bet it will be raining tomorrow but it won't stop me...

And I'll check the borders etc. for damage or new signs of life, can't wait for my snowdrops to appear [IMG]

    Roll on March
