Hi all, I'm very much a new beginner when it comes to growing from seeds but I thought I'd have a go and have some packets of seed from the Heritage Seed Library....only thing is I've lost the catalogue with the instructions on when to sow the seeds! (only thing on the packet is the name)

As I'm fairly new to this, I'm guessing this is probably a silly question but I'm just worried that I'll end sowing the seed too early or too late and was hoping someone may be able to give me an idea of when the best time to get them going would be?

I imagine it wouldn't be too different to other varieties but I have that beginners worry of getting it all wrong!

    The seed I have is
    Lettuce stoke
    Broccoli late white sprouting
    Tomato yellow plum formed
    Climbing french bean blue coco
    Kale asparagus
    Brussel Sprout catskill

any tips and hints much appreciated! :)

    Hi

May I ask a few question

Do you have a green house and electric propagator

Are you thinking of sowing in pots etc or direct into the garden soil

I have an electric propagator (wonderful xmas pressie from the OH!) and a greenhouse, but the greenhouse isn't heated

I was planning on sowing in pots first, as I have a major slug and pigeon issue and they will eat anything small and young so I was thinking I could grow everything on in pots until large enough to handle slug attack and pigeon assault!
